Ainka is a passionate storyteller and strategic communications professional. She helps national and global companies by developing results-based communications and marketing strategies. She has 15 years of corporate communications, media relations and digital marking experience. Ainka has also worked in diverse sectors including financial services, government, health care, broadcasting and transportation.
In 2016 Ainka founded She’s4Sports – a digital and events platform to give women and girls a larger voice in sports.
Aksel Lielmanis is a sales and marketing professional with extensive commercial management, business operations, and leadership experience across multiple industry verticals including media and entertainment. Aksel has achieved success with well-established companies such as Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. and Twenty-First Century Fox Inc. He has a proven track record of launching new film, television and video game products including esports. For more than 20 years Aksel has contributed with various expertise to the transformation of the home entertainment industry, championing product strategy, building brands, and developing distribution platforms. He enjoys sharing his unique story and experience of embracing disruption and change with others.
Aksel brings his experience to SportTokz by hosting our EsportTokz segment by updating us each week on latest eSports news, events and analysis.
Karen is a Ryerson RTA graduate (1987) and has worked in Sports Television production for over 30 years. Her career began at TSN when it was just a fledgling cable network and includes a decade at Hockey Night In Canada, 10 Olympics, various multi-sport games and the production of Live figure skating, track and field and equestrian for international feeds. She has been teaching for 11 years and helped to develop the Sport Media program.
Karen is currently the first female Executive Producer of Sports at CBC working on many projects including the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics.
